Our History

Founded by Mathu Matthews in honor of her grandfather, the legendary Tamil actor, comedian, and social reformer N. S. Krishnan—affectionately known as Kalaivanar (“Lover of the Arts”)—the Foundation draws inspiration from his lifelong commitment to uplifting society through culture, humor, and intellect.
